Virtual Call Queuing FAQ

How do you manage to handle my calls and provide such a service if you don't install anything

We request from your existing telephone line provider that all calls to your number(s) are re-directed to Crosby. Our automated systems will handle each and every call as planned. As we are essentially "intercepting" the call before it reaches your office, there is no requirement to install any hardware at your side as everything is done in the telephone network, Crosby are able to do this due to the vast amount of industry we have and the interconnects into the BT network.

Does it have to be by main telephone number, or can I publish a new number for a certain campaign

You can use any number you like, be it your main number or Crosby can even supply you with an 0870, 0871 or 0845 number for your marketing complain. This will allow you to keep track of the response rates from a particular campaign and possibly generate additional revenue from the telephone calls.

Can I record my own messages to people to enter the queuing system

Yes, we give you access to our remote update facility were you can change any message that is played to the caller at any time. This is a handy feature that could be used to let callers know about special offers, excessive delays in holding times or adverts for new products so your selling to people while they wait.

If I don't want people hanging on for hours if we're really busy, can they leave a message

Each system is shaped around your business, we rarely sell this product "off the shelf". You will have complete control over how the system works and the amount of time people are holding for. A simple messaging taking option can be added for minimal costs and will deliver the message you to that can be collected using a mailbox and pin over the phone or we can e-mail the sound file to you soon as the call is complete.

How Flexible is the on hold music, can we provide you with a live feed to play while people are on hold?

Very flexible. If you want to retain live control over what we plan to people whilst on hold you can, for example if your a radio station or a similar setup whereby it would be expected to playout a live feed then we can link into your existing setup and play out a live connection.
