Crosby Communications has today announced record annual profits for 2008
The results reflect a lucrative fourth quarter, which saw the company's earnings
rise by 51%.
A spokesman for Crosby said: "Our record gross profits and earnings underline the
significant progress we have made in 2007 to 2008, and we expect continued growth in the
coming months. This has been our biggest, most profitable year to date and we are very
happy with the outcome. Our aim is to continue to raise the bar next year, as we have
done successfully for the past four years."
The company attributes this impressive rise in profits to an increase in overseas
trading and further growth in niche products/services.
"Thanks to strong growth in new European markets and continued innovation,
we've been able to continue developing our products and services and adding new
revenue streams to our portfolio, while our competitors remain fixated on cutting costs,
shedding staff and reducing operational costs, thereby stifling innovation and failing
to future–proof their businesses," said Matt Wilson, CEO.
Although not directly profit–related, Crosby will soon announce the sale of its
successful Manchester–based IT division, which it acquired on 1st Sept 2006. This
will signal an end to Crosby offering IT solutions under the same "house" as
communication solutions.
Crosby is a leading provider of converged communications solutions. Using its advanced
infrastructure as a service provider, Crosby combines the latest voice, text, fax, web
and broadcast technologies into successful solutions for its clients.
