Steve is a member of the British Computer Society, and a Cisco Certified Network Associate.
Since he joined Crosby in 2000, Steve's I.T. knowledge has proved central to the company's
success, and as a member of the board, he is also a key decision-maker.
Steve has a strong background in programming, and excellent all-round knowledge of e-commerce,
mobile and voice applications. While particularly proficient in PHP and the use of MYSQL for
creating database–driven solutions, Steve's programming experience also encompasses
Perl, C++, Java, JavaScript and various telephony development languages.
His range of technical skills is supported by a clear understanding of customers' business
objectives and the ability to transform them into practical solutions.
Steve's motto: "Nothing is impossible", has been proven apt time and time again
as we have delivered services and functionality that other companies either avoid, or demand
prohibitively high prices for.
As Technical Director at Crosby, Steve oversees network development and assists with server
administration. He also has primary responsibility for communications engineering and joint
responsibility for systems administration.
Steven is responsible for the design and architecture of the Crosby Central software platform
and heads the R&D team working on new technologies.
In 2003, he was instrumental in the development and opening of Crosby's state-of-the-art
Data Centre, a £1.5 million investment which now houses the company's infrastructure
and R&D workshops.
In addition to pursuing a general interest in media and telecommunications, Steve likes motor
sports, and enjoys a part-time role as a Disc Jockey.
