So he [...]

    2. As a teacher and tutor, I find this paperback title "Rhetorical Devices" to be an indispensable tool in helping my students become better writers. It has also been a great aid for students taking AP English class. This compact book contains chapters devoted to each of the 33 rhetorical devices, with definitions and examples of each as well as practice exercises. The practice exercises range from fairly simple ones requiring students to write sentences reflecting a certain rhetorical device while [...]

    3. Most impressive about this book on rhetorical devices is simply the explanations of the various rhetorical terms and how they can be used as a part of your writing. This book covers over thirty rhetorical strategies, gives an overview and definition as to what the term is and how it is used for effect, and then has exercises that can be used to practice this writing technique. 4. The book includes a large set of terms (33 in all). They're broken down individually with definitions, explanations on their use, and then practice activities. The end of the book has a handful of assessments that groups the terms. The book is 224pgs in length. I'm using it with sophomore high school students.

    5. Solid little instructional workbook. I use it as an extension to rhetorical devices lessons. The students find it both challenging and helpful. Through their assessments, I'm finding that it works!

    6. Great book for AP Language and Composition students because of the various rhetorical devices it contains. It enriches students' minds and shows them that there's more to rhetorical devices than just words.
